In Loving Memory of Mother Malinee Chantavarodom

With profound sadness and deep gratitude, we mourn the passing of Mother Malinee Chantavarodom, a devoted woman of faith, a compassionate servant of God, and a beloved co-founder of the Human Development Foundation Mercy Centre.
Born on February 7, 1930, Mother Malinee dedicated her life to serving others, especially the poorest and most vulnerable children in the communities of Bangkok. She possessed a heart of extraordinary compassion and an unwavering belief that every child deserved the opportunity to learn, to read, to write, and to dream of a brighter future.
For generations of children, Mother Malinee was a source of hope and encouragement. Through her vision, dedication, and tireless service, countless young lives were transformed through education, care, and love. She understood that education was more than knowledge—it was dignity, empowerment, and the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
From its earliest days to the present, Mother Malinee has been the heart and soul of Mercy Centre. Her gentle strength, steadfast faith, and selfless devotion helped build not only schools and programs but also a community founded upon love, respect, and compassion. She inspired all who knew her through her humility, generosity, and deep commitment to God’s work.
Mother Malinee’s life was a living testimony to the Gospel. She showed us that true greatness is found in serving others and that the most powerful force in the world is a heart filled with love. Her kindness touched thousands of lives, and her legacy will continue to live on in every child who learns, every family who finds hope, and every act of mercy inspired by her example.
Though we grieve her passing, we also give thanks for the gift of her life. We trust that the Lord whom she served so faithfully has welcomed her into His eternal embrace, where she now rests in peace.
May her soul rest in God’s loving care, and may her legacy continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
