It is always a pleasure to see the Qantas Cabin Crew Team walk once again through Mercy’s doors. Longtime, stalwart supporters and sponsors, the QCCT has become part of the Mercy family, and we were so glad to have them here for a week of activities.

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are… Thanks to the generosity of K. Brian Marca and Tero Entertainment, the Mercy Centre was able to bring over 100 kids to see the amazing show of Disney on Ice in Muang Tong Thani! Everyone agreed: sanuk mak!

Dressed in red fabrics, garland wreaths of chrysanthemum and jasmine bedecking the drums, boys stepped back and forth in time to the quick beat of the music. Applause and acclamation sounded from a supportive audience, come to see the skill and performance of Pong Lang style music.

The HDF health department went on a visit to Nong Khai in Isan province this week to hold training sessions with a local organization, Nong Khai Sisterhood Foundation, on how to best have home visits. They demonstrated how to promote sustainable community health. 

The education department’s team worked in groups to prepare the curriculum for the coming 2025 school year. Each year, teachers and staff gather to adjust teaching plans and prepare new materials for each grade. Here they are, hard at work in the Mercy meeting room!
