Mothers Day at Mercy Centre - 2009
HM the Queen of Thailand's birthday is Mothers Day in Thailand, and an extraordinary day at Mercy Centre. Together with our house moms, house dads, and all our children, we pay respect to our Queen and celebrate as a family and community. This year's festivities included a fabulous neighborhood pageant of dance, music and song; a special ceremony, organized by our 500-strong Slum Women's Group, recognizing our "70 Rai" neighborhood's most inspirational moms; and a loving speech from Sister Maria to all our moms and children.
